Hairpin legs have been used for decades to add a clean, minimalist, steel accent to a variety of furniture projects. They are lightweight yet sturdy and look great on tables, desks, bedframes, benches and any other project you have in mind. Hairpins are a favourite metal leg for DIY projects because they are affordable and easy to install for all skill levels.

We offer our hairpin legs in a variety of sizes to suit your project. If you are looking for a size not provided in this listing, visit our store for additional length options.

Choosing your Hairpin Length:
Don’t forget to subtract the depth of your wood/table top from these standard dimensions.
Bedside Tables - typically 24”-28” tall; generally sit a couple of inches above your mattress height.
Coffee Table - typically 16”-18” tall but depends on your couch height; should be no lower than 1”-2” from the seat of your couch.
Entryway Bench - typically 16”-24” tall
Dining Table - typically 28”-30” tall; allow 12” between the seat of your chairs and your table top.
Sofa Table/Entryway Table - typically 33”; should be about level with the back of your sofa.
Bar Table - typically 40”-42” tall; allow 12” between the seat of your chairs and your table top.

The fine details:
• Made from 3/8" cold rolled round bar steel
• Top mounting 5”x5” flat bar bracket comes equipped with predrilled holes to fit 1/4" wood screws
• Made entirely from Canadian-made materials
• Quantity of 1 includes 1 leg

To prevent rusting, only use raw steel hairpins indoors. It is possible that if exposed to high humidity these legs can also begin to oxidize slightly indoors, showing signs of light surface rust. If you see this, simply wipe away rust spots using a Scotch Bright Pad and apply a natural protectant such as beeswax or linseed oil. If you would like to protect your legs from any rusting, we suggest either selecting our painted or clear coat option or painting your hairpins yourself using a Rust-Oleum paint in your desired colour.

Please note that hairpins left in their raw steel form may have minor variations between pieces including scratches, slight pitting and mill scale which adds to the unique, industrial appearance of each leg.

**1/4 wood screws not included**
